Bob Quick, Musical Director
Born and bred in Scarborough Bob Quick won a scholarship to The Royal Academy of Music to study Trombone and Conducting. He played with The BBC Concert Orchestra, the BBC Northern Ireland and The Ulster Orchestra.
He won a Carnegie best soloist award for his performance of Year of The Dragon and Gave the Irish premier of Paul Lovat Cooper’s Trombone Concerto “Earths Fury” in Christchurch Dublin.
He has been the featured soloist at the International Trombone Conference Bantry House Co Cork on 3 occasions.
He was Principal Trombone in Strabane Concert Brass for 25 years. He was Deputy Director of The W.E.L.B. Music Service where he published a number of works for Junior Bands and Compiled the best selling Trombone book “Practice with the Pro’s.” He has been Musical Director of St Marks since 2018.
